The Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers Association (VDMA) and its specialized Associations

With its over 3.000 members, VDMA is the industry-wide network of the capital-goods industry in Europe. It groups 37 specialized associations who work closely with the market. For 125 years now it has been offering its service in the machinery and plant manufacturing industry and the information technology sector.

The specialized association for plastics and rubber machinery within VDMA has around 200 member companies and is engaged in a very wide range of activities. For instance in the economic field: statistics, monitoring of international market activity, preparation of reports on economic trends and forecast. In the technical field: work on DIN, CEN and ISO standards, EUROMAP recommendations, joint research. In exhibition policy: sponsor of "K-Messe" in Düsseldorf, through EUROMAP sponsor of CHINAPLAS, INTERPLASTICA, PLASTINDIA, PLASTIMAGEN and European patronage exhibitions. Another important task of the plastics and rubber machinery association is to provide an internet sourcing service, where the visitor may select within a wide range of machine types, end-products or companies. By doing so, he will get names, e-mail-addresses etc. of the companies who supply the required machinery and plants. Via links it is possible to get into direct touch with the firms.
